Zindrew started with one thing: chili oil that actually hit.
Bold, garlicky, packed with umami, and spicy in the best way. It wasn’t born in a restaurant or a test kitchen. It came from a craving for something better, something with real flavor and real heat. Once we got it right, people wanted jars. Then they wanted more. So we kept going.
Later, we brought that same flavor to a new format: juicy handmade wontons, served at night markets near Los Angeles with a generous spoon of Zindrew on top.
Why We Took It to the Market
After seeing how people were using the oil at home, on noodles, rice, eggs, and everything else. we wanted to serve it our way. That’s when the idea for the wonton stand came in. Nothing fancy. Just a table, a line, and a tray of wontons that hit hard thanks to the oil that started it all.
The response was instant. The smell alone pulled people in. One bite sealed the deal. Some came for the dumplings. Most left asking how to get the oil.
A Stand That Keeps Us Close to the Flavor
The night markets gave us something special. Direct feedback. Real-time reactions. It’s one thing to hear that someone likes your product. It’s another to see them take a bite, pause, and nod like they’ve found what they didn’t know they were missing.
The stand also lets us stay grounded in why we started. It’s not just about the jar. It’s about sharing food that tastes good and makes people want to talk about it.
From Wonton Tray to Kitchen Table
Zindrew didn’t come from a wonton shop. It came from a single jar of chili oil that people kept putting on everything. But the wonton stand helped us show exactly why that oil matters. It let us create a full experience, one that starts at a market table and ends with someone reaching for the jar at home.
We serve the oil in person so you can take it with you and keep the flavor going.
Final Drizzle
Zindrew began with a jar of chili oil. The wonton stand came later, but it helped us bring that flavor to life in a new way. If you’ve seen us at the market, you know what we mean. If you haven’t, come by and try it for yourself. And if you’re not nearby, just grab a jar and put it on whatever’s in your fridge.
We’ll keep making it bold. You keep putting it on everything.
