  • 4 Tbsp Melted Unsalted Butter

For the Pasta and Cheese Sauce:

  • 3 cups Cheddar, shredded
  • 3 cups Pepper Jack, shredded
  • 1 lb Macaroni
  • 1/3 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 1/3 cup All-purpose Flour
  • 3 cups Whole Milk
  • 2 Tbsp Zindrew Garlic Chili Oil - X Batch - or OG Batch if you prefer a milder spice

  • For the breadcrumb topping:
  • ¾ Cup Panko Bread Crumbs
  • 2 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • 4 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • For the pasta and cheese sauce:
  • 3 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 3 cups pepperjack cheese, shredded
  • 1 lb macaroni (we used cavatappi)
  • ⅓ cup unsalted butter
  • ⅓ cup all purpose flour
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 2 Tbsp Zindrew X Batch - or use OG batch for a milder spice

Instructions

  1. Set a pot of salted water to boil, once boiling, pour in macaroni in and cook to al dente, strain, and set aside, make sure to put some olive oil to avoid the pasta from sticking to itself.
  2. Combine cheddar and pepper jack cheese, set aside
  3. For the breadcrumb topping, combine your melted butter, breadcrumbs and thyme
  4. In the same saucepan that you cooked your pasta in, melt your 1/3 cup of butter
  5. Once melted, incorporate your flour to form a roux.
  6. Slowly pour in your milk while your mixture begins to thicken.
  7. Once slightly thickened, add in 4 cups of your cheese combination (make sure to leave 2 cups for layering)
  8. Once cheese has melted, add in your 2 Tbsp of Zindrew Crunchy Garlic Chili Oil - X Batch and mix until combined
  9. Pour your al dente pasta into your spicy and delicious cheese sauce and mix until combined
  10. In a greased 9x13 pan, pour in half of your pasta and cheese sauce mixture in an even layer. Put 1 cup of your remaining cheese on top of this layer. Next, pour the second half of your pasta and cheese mixture into the pan in an even layer. On top add the remaining cheese and top with your crispy breadcrumb topping.
  11. Bake at 350F for 20 minutes, covered. Then remove cover and broil on high for 3 minutes.
  12. Serve and enjoy!
